Our Music

Lullaby For The Sun

Ara Dinkjian's "Lullaby for the Sun" is a poignant and atmospheric composition that reflects his mastery of blending traditional Armenian music with jazz influences. The piece is part of Dinkjian's album "An Armenian in America", released in 2005.  Our interpretation is trying  to showcase the evocative and deeply personal character of the piece. Recording from the Romanusweg Sessions in Maastricht Conservatorium

Patrunino

Originating from rural villages, it is typically performed during celebrations such as weddings and festivals. The dance features a circular formation, with participants holding hands or linking arms, symbolizing unity and togetherness. Padrunino reflects the joy and spirit of Greek cultural heritage. Karsilamas-Koto song

Karsilamas (Turkish: karşılama; Greek: καρσιλαμάς) is a folk dance spread all over Northwest Turkey and carried to Greece by Anatolian Greek immigrants. The term "karşılama" means "encounter, welcoming, greeting" in Turkish. Recording from the Jazzmaastricht Awards.
